We are impressed by these last two days of our proPIC course! Our students have been collaboratively developing their research projects coming up with a diverse selection of topics: fostering the establishment of intercultural speakers through international project work; investigating fanfiction among future students in an international setting; researching a variety of mobile apps and their effectiveness for the EFL classroom including different European perspectives; creating interactive tutorials for Android devices; and looking at how international teachers and lecturers go about classroom management, and how they use mobile technologies or innovative approaches to manage their classes. Thanks a lot for such a great participation, and also many thanks to our colleague Richard for supporting us in this session! Great work!

Making use of the Erasmus Staff Mobility, our proPIC partner Richard Baldwin from Boras University came over for 5 days to see how we are working here in Karlsruhe. His stay was a great opportunity for us to discuss further projects and research ideas, moreover to strengthen our partnership and address possible ways of how to foster and implement international collaboration between students from both institutions in the future. His stay also included two impressive school visits - one to the Montessori-Schule in Landau, the other one to the Ernst-Reuter-Schule in Karlsruhe (also check out their youtube channel 'ErnschtleTV') - next to an interesting beer tasting which we did together with other staff members from the University of Education Karlsruhe. Last but not least he participated in one of our proPIC seminars, which was a great opportunity for him to meet our local students and further an impuls to discuss national university policies ,and teaching and learning practices. After an interesting online meeting yesterday with all our partners, we are looking forward to meeting face-2-face in Sweden at the end of this month. It will also be great to welcome our Swedish partner Richard Baldwin here in Karlsruhe next week. Together we will visit some local schools, have a German beer tasting and work on a joint paper which focuses the promotion of international collaboration among pre-service language teachers through short stays abroad. Further, Richard will join our second course session next weekend, where we will be discussing ways to integrate action research in our own CPD and possible digital tools that can support reflective practices.
